Mosaic Intercultural Experiences offers a unique travel opportunity for local high school students. Darla Miller, the owner of Mosaicex, has been an educator for 20 years. She has traveled extensively through Europe and has lived in three different countries and experienced the cultures living with the natives. Because you work directly with Mrs. Miller you will have some control in the planning of which sites you will see as well as your daily schedule. These trips are planned with teenagers in mind. Time is spent doing things that interest teens, while providing them memories they will take through the rest of their lives. They may stand in the room with the Mona Lisa days before seeing Picasso’s Guernica. Whether it is the Eiffel Tower or the Cathedral of Toledo, each time they see a picture of it in a book or an image on television, they will know they’ve experienced the real thing.
Teachers and
parents are welcome to travel with the students. The
teacher travel cost is adjusted according to the number of students
traveling. Teachers travel free when accompanying 10 students.
Teacher travel is not a requirement for students to participate in the
program, as there will be an appropriate number of adults traveling
with the group.
